TheLittleMJs Workplace Policy
Effective Date: 15 June 2023
Last Reviewed: 10 Nov 2024
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Workplace Policy is to establish guidelines that promote a professional, supportive, and inclusive environment for all team members at TheLittleMJs. Whether working remotely or in a future on-site studio location, we aim to create a cohesive culture centered around wellness, respect, and productivity.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all contractors, freelancers, and future employees working with TheLittleMJs, whether remotely or at an on-site studio.
3. Work Arrangement
3.1 Remote Work
Until a physical studio is established, most team members will work remotely. Remote team members are expected to have a stable internet connection and an appropriate workspace to maintain productivity and professional communication.
Contractors are responsible for their own equipment, including computers, phones, and any other necessary technology unless otherwise specified in their agreement.
3.2 On-Site Work (Studio)
Once the studio is operational, team members who are contracted for on-site roles may be required to work at the physical location.
Work schedules will be communicated in advance, and attendance at the studio will be managed to support a safe and healthy environment in line with company health policies.
4. Compensation
Compensation will vary based on the contractor’s country of residence, role, experience, and other relevant factors. Payment terms will be outlined in individual contracts.
Contractors are responsible for managing their own taxes and securing any necessary health or business insurance according to their local regulations.
5. Tax Registration and Insurance
All remote contractors are required to have tax registration in their country of residence and provide documentation of their registration to TheLittleMJs upon onboarding.
Contractors are also required to maintain their own insurance for work-related health or liability coverage, depending on their location’s legal requirements. TheLittleMJs does not provide insurance coverage for contractors working remotely.
6. Annual Company-Paid Vacation
TheLittleMJs offers an annual company-paid vacation for qualifying team members as a gesture of appreciation and team-building. To qualify, contractors must meet the following criteria:
A minimum of 12 months of active, continuous work with TheLittleMJs.
Proof of valid tax registration and compliance with local tax requirements.
Vacation details, including location, itinerary, and covered expenses, will be communicated each year. Contractors are responsible for any additional expenses not covered by the company.
7. Work Hours and Availability
Remote contractors may set flexible working hours but should be available for team meetings or client sessions as required. Time zones and availability expectations will be agreed upon in advance.
Contractors must communicate any expected changes in availability with at least 1 month notice to allow for schedule adjustments.
8. Code of Conduct
TheLittleMJs is committed to creating a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace. All team members are expected to:
Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, colleagues, and leadership.
Uphold the brand values of wellness, mindfulness, and integrity in all client interactions and communications.
Address any conflicts or concerns through appropriate channels, maintaining a collaborative spirit.
9. Data Privacy and Security
Contractors are expected to protect client data and company information in line with TheLittleMJs’s data security standards.
Company-provided or client-related materials must be stored securely, and any breaches or suspected breaches of data security must be reported immediately.
10. Performance and Feedback
TheLittleMJs values growth and continuous improvement. Contractors will receive regular performance feedback, and they are encouraged to share their feedback and suggestions with the management team.
11. Policy Updates
This policy may be reviewed and updated as needed to accommodate changes in work arrangements, legal requirements, and company growth. Team members will be informed of any changes.
